Genius Jan Kaplicky

This is  a little tribute to the famous Czech architect Jan Kaplicky, whose creativity was almost endless. Those pictures were taken at an exhibition of his work held at Danubiana museum. Although, the most of his works were unrealized, he is one of my favorite architects in the world. It’s absolutely mesmerizing that he came up with those structures in the  still quite rigid 1970s. Sad is the fact that Prague might never be enriched by the famous ‘octopus library’. Mr. Kaplicky died on 15th of February in 2009, the exact day that his daughter was born. A bittersweet day. As I watched a program about him, it is highly unlikely that any of his building might be built after his death.
